Have you ever wanted to play baseball? How about being a pitcher? Basically it is just throwing a ball to a catcher, right? Well, no. There is more to it than that. It is a game of strategy. Throwing balls and strikes…. hopefully more strike outs and fewer walks. Curve balls, fast balls, fork balls, change ups, splitters and sliders All of them can be very tricky. Some might even say that it is an art. One company has created a multimedia package just for the focus on one of the more difficult pitches: the slider which is one of the most difficult pitches to throw. Moreover, it is difficult to hit.
Having an arsenal of pitches is good to have especially when you are the starting pitcher. Not only do you need control to avoid throwing wild pitches, you also need to consider the velocity. You also have to “trip up the batter” when the catcher relays signals to you of what to throw. This makes baseball more than just a physical sport. It’s a mental game too.
